Job Description


The purpose of this position is to be responsible for and assist with market and financial analysis within industry operations. This position is also responsible for assisting Marketing leadership in achieving company goals and objectives.


Bid Coordinator

  • Coordinate, review and edit proposal submissions for bid fuel business typically involving contributions from sales, marketing, finance, legal and transportation departments
  • Facilitate meetings to keep the bid process moving forward
  • Conduct pricing analysis in conjunction with the sales manager

  • Conduct market analysis of key market segments and geographies within the biodiesel industry and other industries that REG may have interest in entering
  • Research current industry trends and company information
  • Conduct and coordinate analysis of key competitor assets and activities
  • Conduct and coordinate marketing research activities that allow REG to better understand its product performance, market share, and brand perception in the marketplace
  • Establish metrics and report on marketing campaigns return on investment
  • Determine brand perceptions and reputations
  • Evaluate market penetration
  • Solicit customer feedback including execution of annual customer satisfaction survey
  • Analyze marketing metrics to identify cause and effect relationships
  • Identify margin drivers and conduct customer profitability analysis
  • Coordinate sales forecast process including development of annual sales forecast, weekly contracted sales updates, reporting of forecast versus budget and actual sales
  • Generate reports and develop presentation content for customer and internal meetings as requested by sales. Update business presentations and develop annual customer review presentations.
  • Audit all REG communication materials for brand standard consistency. Make recommendations for adjustments to Senior Manager, Sales and Marketing
  • Create and ensure accuracy of distribution lists for sales and marketing campaigns
  • Conduct secondary research, including finding information from industry associations, statisticians and marketing experts
  • Be familiar with advanced statistical analysis and research methodologies, along with common computer programs. Be fluent in Excel and use it frequently to analyze data
  • Be a liaison between the REG Operations Control Team (OCT) and Sales & Marketing. Know where to find data being monitored by OCT. Develop reports utilizing this data to enhance the sales and marketing team understanding of broader economic factors impacting the business 

Customer Relationship Management

  • Ensure the accuracy of all data in
  • Run reports and distribution lists as requested by sales and marketing. Proactively identify, run and distribute reports from which lead to the team’s deeper understanding of customer, prospect, financial metrics, profitability or other metrics
  • Train sales and marketing team, as well as other departments, on how to use to leverage a deeper understanding of business metrics
  • Provide daily plant pricing via Chatter
  • Monitor and ensure accuracy of contract data
  • Maintain and provide distribution lists for use in Pardot
  • Coordinate distribution of direct mail campaigns to include distribution of customer holiday gifts
Provide Marketing Support

  • Coordinate sports marketing initiatives to include management of the attendance and distribution of event tickets allocated to the sales & marketing team
  • Coordinate and monitor association dues & memberships, directory placements and sponsorships. Work with agency for trade ad placement in directories and association publications. Ensure sponsorship agreements are properly executed
  • Process sales & marketing invoices to include execution of purchase orders, routing and ensuring timely payment
  • Manage branded premiums (gifts, logo items, apparel, sales giveaways) to include selection, ordering and inventory maintenance
  • Manage inventory and distribution of collateral materials
  • Manage tradeshow booth(s) including shipping, proper assembly and staffing at tradeshows
  • Manage sales & marketing event registration, travel and attendance 

Other frequent duties:

  • Assist with development of annual marketing plan
  • Assist with execution of marketing plan tactics to include trade advertising, collateral development, direct marketing campaigns and other tactics as assigned
  • Assist with monitoring of proper brand standard usage across the enterprise
  • Assist with planning and execution of company events
  • Assist with monitoring and updating the REG website and intranet
  • Monitor social media and offer recommendations for best practices


Education Required: 4 year bachelor’s degree – Marketing, Communications or related Business degree 

Experience Required:  3-5 years
