Job Description


The purpose of this job is to communicate demand and product availability to plant staff and the sales team on a daily basis, perform analysis on the supply chain, recommend and implement decisions with regards to the supply chain, monitor inventory levels and assure proper inventory management for contractual needs and plant performance.


Key Accountabilities:

CONFIDENTIALITY: This position will have access to information that is confidential to the operations of the company. Confidential information must be held in highest confidence and failure to do so will result in disciplinary action, which may include termination of employment.

Monitor plant & 3rd party inventories:

  • Provide verbal and written communication to plant staff and sales team on a daily basis 
  • Ensure inventory levels are sufficient to meet contractual requirements
  • Monitor and report on plant performance
  • Perform contingency planning when required

Analyze freight arbitrage opportunities:

  • Monitor plant Cost of Goods Sold
  • Provide analysis and recommendations on contract sourcing decisions
  • Provide analysis in order to minimize freight expense

Other frequent duties:

  • Facilitate daily and weekly meetings around plant production and inventory management
  • Facilitate daily and weekly meetings around product availability 
  • Provide analysis on department level KPI’s

Perform other duties as assigned


Education Required: 4-year bachelor’s degree – Supply Chain Management or related degree 

**5-7 years of experience may substitute 

Experience Required: Business environment experience, relevant courses, club participation and internship preferred 

**APICS Certified Preferred

Skills Required

Advanced Excel skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Extensive math and accounting skills

Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Special skills or knowledge preferred:

JD Edwards

OTM (Oracle Transportation Management)
