Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE:

The purpose of this job is to be responsible for the sale of REG Biodiesel, daily communication with Sales Director and working as a team within other departments. This position is also responsible for travel to trade shows, conferences, and association meetings as directed by the Sales Director.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

Selling of REG Biodiesel/RHD/Blended Fuel Gallons


  • Develop a good technical understanding of the performance attributes of REG products and the benefits they bring to our customers
  • Knowledge and utilization of SalesForce.com
  • Contacting customers on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Prospecting for new customers within territory
  • Traveling and having face to face meetings with current customers
  • Building and maintaining relationships
  • Understanding customer buying needs
Daily communication with Sales Director
  •     Coordinate pricing to maximize margin for REG
  •     Feed into the group competitor and market intelligence
  •    Work with regional sales team members for forecasting and sales opportunities
Working as a team with other departments
  •     Coordinating with Supply Chain on gallons available at each plant
  •     Coordinating with transportation on freight rates and truck and rail availability
  •     Coordinating with inside sales on scheduling at the plants
  •     Coordinating with Tax and Credit on figures
Other frequent duties:
  •     Working with customers and the JD Edwards system to schedule loads
  •     Monthly and quarterly forecasting
  •     Travel to trade shows, conferences, and association meetings as directed by the Sales Director
  •     Customer interaction geared toward education of the utilization of biodiesel
Perform other duties as assigned



JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Required: 4 year bachelor’s degree – Business or related degree

Experience Required:  2-4 years of sales experience preferred

Advanced Excel skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Extensive math skills

Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Risk management

Fuel background

Sales and marketing background

Sales Force

JD Edwards


**This position will be servicing sales from Gray's Harbor Facility.
