Job Description


The purpose of this position is to assist with general ledger duties and special projects while assuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This position is also responsible for consistently apply valid accounting principles to achieve financial accountability. 


General Ledger

  • Provide support in regular and timely reconciliation of accounts to ensure accuracy
  • Assist with monthly accruals and the closing of books
  • Coordinate reconciliation of perpetual inventory to physical measurements on a regular basis (month-end physical measurements, cycle counts, etc.) 

Day-to-Day Activities

  • Support accounts payable personnel with processing of vendor invoices and cash disbursements
  • Support cash collections personnel with recording of customer deposits and collections of accounts receivable
  • Monitor daily entry of inventory transactions to ensure accurate and timely records for biodiesel locations 

Other frequent duties:

  • Assist special projects as needed 

Perform other duties as assigned



Education Required: Pursuing a bachelor’s degree – Accounting, or related degree

**Senior or Junior status required 

Experience Required: Business environment experience, relevant courses, club participation and internship preferred 

Skills Required

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)

Advanced math and accounting skills 

Special skills or knowledge preferred:

Advanced Excel skills (Pivot table, Macros, Advanced Excel Functions)
