Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE:

The purpose of this job is to provide support in the areas of recruiting, onboarding, and internship coordination. This position will act as an information resource for employees and will also develop, implement, and evaluate ongoing HR policies, programs, functions and activities.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

Candidate Sourcing

  • Serve as a business partner with hiring managers to develop effective sourcing and recruitment strategies that result in client satisfaction
  • Identify qualified candidates through networking, events and social media
  • Advise hiring managers on recruiting strategies and interviewing techniques
  • Seek, establish and maintain relationships with recruitment sources including colleges, universities, professional networks and associations, and career fairs with the goal of recruiting diverse and qualified team members
  • Create and maintain an environment of equal employment opportunity, diversity and competitive advantage in support of the company's diversity and inclusion strategic plan
  • Recommend and implement ways to improve employer brand
  • Screen candidates to match essential functions and conduct reference checks to verify skills and experience
  • Create and negotiate candidate employment offers
Recruiting Administration

  • Coordinate and participate in job fairs and educational presentations
  • Assist with posting jobs on various sites and management of postings
  • Create/update job descriptions for every position within the company
  • Train applicant management system to new hiring managers
  • Phone screen candidates
  • Set up on-site interviews
  • Provide informational building tours for interviewees
  • Follow up with interview candidates
  • Input and analyze pre-employment screening information
  • Review and categorize applicants if needed 

Internship Coordination

  • Develop and revise internship policies and procedures
  • Plan and conduct schedule of events for entire internship program
  • Serve as an ambassador of REG while working with various companies within the community
  • Maintain database administration for purpose of tracking

Candidate Onboarding

  • Conduct reference and background checks
  • Corresponds with job applicants to notify them of opportunities
  • Facilitate new hire orientation
  • Maintains records on recruiting activities as required including completion of annual EEO reporting requirements
Other frequent duties:

  • Arrange travel and lodging for applicants, if necessary
  • Maintain confidential records at all time
  • Perform other duties as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Required: 4 year bachelor’s degree – Business Administration or related degree required; Human Resource Management or related business degree preferred; Agriculture, scientific or manufacturing experience preferred

Experience Required:  3-5 years

Skills Required

Advanced Excel skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Extensive math and accounting skills

Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Special skills or knowledge preferred:

Knowledge of government compliance requirements
