Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE:

The purpose of this job is to identify new markets and sales leads, pitch goods or services to new clients and maintain a good working relationship with new and existing contacts. The main purpose is to increase Sales and Trading business within the EMEA region (with initial focus on the Nordics and Eastern Europe) as well as to diversify the client base in order to support IT&C business and increase margins for REG products.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Market research:

  • Conduct research to identify new markets in the EMEA region and customer needs
  • Maintaining up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect target markets

Business development:

  • Develop an effective pipeline of new projects and customers while promoting the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
  • Seek new business opportunities by developing relationships with potential customers
  • Establish proactively contact to potential customers / business partners
  • On-site meetings and discussion with potential customers about their needs, processes and products being of interest

Sales strategy and execution:

  • Develop and follow a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  • Staying knowledgeable about all products (biodiesel, co-products, etc.) and services offered by the business
  • Maximizing the sales volumes to existing customers and developing sales to new and prospective customers
  • Evaluating product & service marketability in terms of customers’ technical & energy needs
  • Prepare offers and sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
  • Support of daily middle and back office related activities
  • Preparing offers to tenders of major obligated parties in order to supply blended biofuels based on customer needs and regions
  • Understanding blending economics and operations in order to provide a broader product base to customers
  • Working with Department & Research staff to establish a communication path with customers
  • Act upon market view within given limitations for risk mitigation

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Represent the company in conferences, fairs and other external or internal events
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support / claim management
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers


JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Required: Bachelor degree in marketing, economics, or general business preferred.

Experience Required: minimum 5 years of work experience in a fuel/biofuel related industry with experience in sales, business development or project management

Skills Required: Business development, Project management, negotiating, analytical thinking, strong communication and sales skills, team oriented. Math and accounting skills, as well as the ability to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
