Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE:

The purpose of this job is to work in coordination with operations teams, both in Europe and the US to meet import and export requirements. The position is key to the operational success of REG’s international trade movements.  Exceptional customer service to all internal and external customers is expected. 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Coordination of import and export compliance requirements
    • Maintain and update permits
    • Coordinate import and export filings with customs brokers
    • Monitor, research, and analyze international trade regulatory trends to ensure compliance   
    • Understand Tariff classifications, INCOTERMS, and Letters of Credit language
    • Create and maintain schedule of import and export requirements
  • Document creation and record keeping
    • Use and understand REG systems Salesforce, JDE, EKA, and Image Now
      • Be able to navigate, create, and problem solve if required
    • Create and maintain: Proforma Invoices, Commercial Invoices, Certificates of Origin, Custom Invoices, Shippers Export Declaration, Shipper Letter of Instructions, and others applicable to contract language
    • Maintain operations database of historical, current, and future product movements and requirements
    • Keep organized summary of each contracts requirements based on method and agreement terms.
  • Cross Functional Team Member responsibilities
    • Be able to work with different groups and departments across REG offices in Europe and the US to meet demands and schedules centered on REG import and exports operations.
    • Provide updates on current activities to key team members and leadership, elevate any concerns, and recognize success when applicable.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Required: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree – International Business, Law or Supply Chain Management, or other related areas

Experience Required:  2-5 years

Skills Required

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Proven ability to work independently as well as with others

Experience with managing detailed documents and schedules

High attention to accuracy, detail, and strong sense of urgency

Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio)

Special skills or knowledge preferred:

Import/export documentation and requirements

Tariff classification and INCOTERMS

Oracle or SAP program knowledge

Ability to speak a second language

Excellent communication, research, and analytical skills

Experience in an international business environment
