Opportunity:
REG is seeking a motivated Scientist to join its Metabolic Engineering team to participate in the engineering and optimization of enzymes, metabolic pathways,
and industrial microorganisms for the production renewable fuels and chemicals. The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to plan and execute high quality, creative scientific work independently and in collaboration with others.
We are looking for candidates with in-depth knowledge of metabolic flux analysis, genome-scale metabolic modeling and their application towards metabolic engineering of microbial cells (bacteria, yeast/fungi). In-depth knowledge and hands on experience in state of the art synthetic biology techniques is required. Industrial and/or academic experience and familiarity with the automation of synthetic biology and analytical processes, high-through-put and automation workflows is desirable.
